Recently, I embarked on an extraordinary adventure with Uria, the manager of our company, and his wife Caracal, to bring the magic of “Music of the Plants” to China and Hong Kong. The goal? To introduce our products, hold conferences and concerts, and open new doors to the heart of the Chinese public, particularly the younger generation, who are so receptive to environmental and ecological themes.
The Warm Welcome from Our Friends in China
From the very beginning, we felt warmly welcomed by our long-time friends. Lorenzo, an American who has been living in China for twenty years and has been connected to Damanhur for almost a decade, opened the doors to his life and dreams (literally, given his special connection in dreams with Falco, our spiritual teacher). Spending time with Lorenzo and the Miao family, who have supported us for years, reinforced the feeling that synchronicity had worked in our favor. Every evening ended with long philosophical conversations, ideas, and visions on how our values could find a place within Chinese culture.
The Success of “Music of the Plants”
The most thrilling part of the journey was connecting with an art- and agriculture-inspired community. Megan, the daughter of the Miao family, after spending almost a month in Damanhur last year, decided to help us create connections in China.
The highlight of our visit was the concert with the “Music of the Plants.” The hall was packed, and the atmosphere buzzed with excitement. People were captivated by the unique sound of the plants, and the final session—a sound bath for well-being—struck deep emotional chords, leading the audience to an intense experience of connection with themselves and with nature.
An Extraordinary School of Creativeness
Another memorable moment was visiting a private Chinese school for children and teenagers, where artistic freedom is at the heart of education. Seeing young people express themselves with such creativity and independence was astonishing and reminded us of our school in Damanhur. The music of the plants is undoubtedly an alternative channel of expression that these children can use to contact the art manifested in Nature.
The Experience of Plant Music in Hong Kong
In Hong Kong, the magic continued. Both meditation-concerts were sold out, and Maria, a renowned radio host and our fan, made every moment even more special with her translations and by sharing her experiences with our music. Caracal enchanted everyone with her sacred dances, creating a tangible connection between the audience, the plant world, and our art.
The Universal Language of Nature and Music
I discovered that, despite cultural differences, there is a universal language that unites us all: the connection with nature. Emotions need no translation, and the music of the plants is one of its purest expressions. This journey was a powerful reminder that, deep down, we are all bound by the desire for a profound and harmonious relationship with the natural world.
